Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of heroes who will split off from the central cast to begin their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.
At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the narrative’s action—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, striking the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each adventurer has a individual motive to leave the city the urban setting:
- Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a nasty location.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to execute the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their status as important members in the influential clan could assist the party reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:
- Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The target is marked for death by House Halovar.
This results in them few options but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
According to the latest episode’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Seekers and Strategists tables.
Audiences can anticipate learning which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
